More pictures...

... after he's had a bath :)

So, we've made it home safe and sound, and very happy to be here. Much more comfortable! Things are going well so far, except it seems the very laid-back attitude Liam had whle in the hospital was just him showing off for the staff! Not that he's that demanding, he's just inherited his mother's and grandmother's night-hawk nature... he sleeps all day, and is WIDE awake from about 3 to 9 in the morning, wanting to be fed every hour! Today I'm trying to wake him up and feed him more often during the day, to see if we can get him to sleep more tonight, but I'm not optimistic.

Here's some more pics, after he's had a bath - even cuter!

And, in the end, we couldn't choose between the 2 middle names we had in mind, so hopefully
he'll forgive us the long, double-barreled name - after all, it'll really only matter on forms, right? :)
So, his name is officially: Liam Alexandre Rene-Joseph Dibartolo King

We'll keep the updates coming...

Mynew Grandson

Hey all

Isn't Liam a handsome little guy? What a great addition to our family he will be.
I said on the Dibartolo family blog that when Liam learns to spell all his names I should buy stock in Crayola.

I was on the phone with Lena yesterday and heard Liam in the background "singing". I can't wait to meet him in July.

Mike promised more pics and I will send them along when i get them

Here's Liam!

Here's baby Liam's first appearance on the King family blog!

7 pounds 2 ounces, born at 7:21 am Tuesday April 10, 2007. He is now resting comfortably with his mom in their room. Both should be home by Thursday or Friday morning.

It was a whirlwind morning and everything happened quite fast, but Marielena did a spectacular job and dealt with the procedure remarkably well. She's been up and walking and feeling good.

Our little guys middle name is still being debated, but we have two choices and should have a decision soon. We will announce along with more pictures (surprise!!) shortly. More pictures and stories to follow.

Update...

Been a while since there's been any posting's around here, so I thought I'd put a baby update.

No, there's no baby out yet - still hanging around enjoying his comfy spot - but, it looks like we're going to force him out :) I'm being induced tomorrow (some blood pressure issues), so we should be meeting our little one sometime in the next couple of days (depending on how fast I respond to the induction).

We'll keep you posted!

Update!

Well, hello all.

I've been out of the loop recently. Mid-terms and projects consumed the past few weeks and the rest of the time we've been in the final stages of prepping the baby's room and stocking up on supplies.

Enough about you, you're saying, what about Lena and the baby??

Marielena is doing great. She is on a research month now and she finished her last full day in the hospital on Friday, so she can ease into her maternity leave and get lots of rest in these next few weeks.

She's been feeling quite good for the most part is only really starting to feel the effects on her joints as she walks around now.

Baby is quite active now and I can really feel him moving around and kicking and rolling. It's amazing! Our due date is April 15, but we have a feeling our little guy will be a couple of weeks early.

It's going to be a fantastic summer I think. So looking forward to coming home in the summer and being part of all the festivities for Theresa and Brian's wedding.

We'll be in touch in the next few weeks as our big day approaches!!

Hello from the sask!

Hey Everyone!

I too have been feeling like I've been neglecting the blog. Things are always so busy at Christmas that it has been hard for me to find time to write. Things here are going very well, as per usual. We got back to Regina Thursday evening after a very long flight during which I coughed most of the time as a result of a cold and was the recipient of some very dirty looks from my plane-mates! Not the most pleasant flight ever for any of us I think!

Christmas at home was wonderful. We had a full two weeks which allowed us to feel much less rushed than usual, although we still never seem to have time to fit in everything we'd like to! We did manage to spend lots of time with our families though, particularly our niece Marah who is just growing up too fast already! She's at a very fun age though, and we were lucky enough to spend a lot of time with her while we were home. We also managed to get lots of wedding stuff done including tuxes and flowers and some decorations, so we seem to be very much on the ball!

Speaking of weddings, Mike I looked at your and Lena's wedding pictures today on the website. They're so lovely! While you guys look lovely in the formal pictures, I love also that your photographer took some fun, informal ones of you both and the wedding party. I'll have to remember that! We missed you at Christmas, it's never the same without the whole family there!

Now we're back in the swing of things. Bri starts his winter semester classes tomorrow. I am lucky enough to be done classes for my Master's degree (woohoo!) but will spend the winter and summer semester being a slave to both my thesis and my job. However, if all goes well I will be able to add the initials "M.A." after my name sometime this fall. Man, how time flies!

Hol - you should post some NYC pictures so we can all see!!

Talk to everyone soon! Miss you!
love,
theresa
